I agonized when my reliable, old, Black & Decker toaster got a piece of bread stuck in the bottom (thanks to my dear husband)--that trusty toaster was great. The only thing I didn't like about that old toaster was that to get it to 'stop' mid-cycle I had to unplug it.
So, the T-Fal's feature of the 'cancel button' sounded like a dream come true. It is a nice feature, but it doesn't off-set the other negatives. The biggest negative is that it takes forever to toast; AND it toasts unevenly...only the left side compartments have the 'bagel feature', but sometimes (not consistently) the right side will give you the 'one side only' toasting. So, toasting is like gambling...will it toast evenly today?? Also, the feature that 'raises' the toast is silly...it's so deep that even when you raise it, a Thomas' English Muffin barely peeks out; It took us many attempts to figure out what was the right setting for our preference...ugh. It's toast for crying out loud...it shouldn't be this hard.
Some reviewers complained about the size--it's not as big as they say, so don't let that concern you.
Although it looks nice, I have a feeling that the $20.00 toaster at Costco wouuld've done just as good a job.
I think paid too much for this. :(

I first hesistated in purchasing this toaster because I could not see the pics and wasn't sure how the stainless steel looked and was also concerned about the black plastic. After I saw a pic from the 2 slice toaster I decided to buy it. I am glad I did. This toaster is beautiful AND big. I am familiar with T-fal because I had an avant from about 7-10 years ago and only stopped working because one day I had a bright idea to clean it with water. BIG mistake dont do. Lol. Anyhoot, I uploaded some of my own pics which should be up on the site shortly. Enjoy!!! Once you see the pics you will get this and with the T-fal name you cant miss. Good luck.

We have been using the toaster daily for about 3 weeks. It is working beautifully. We especially enjoy the "bagel" feature. We would definitely purchase again.

My first mistake was to buy this toaster, the second was to throw out the box and receipt. We had a white Cusinart for years and had no problem, but then we redid our kitchen and got SS appliances so we bought this toaster.
It has never toasted anything even, one side will be perfect the other burnt no matter what setting it is on and if you slice your bread thin forget it charcoal city is what you get. It is good looking and has some nice features and is not too big for our kitchen but when it comes to making toast it is a looser.
Others say it is great, maybe I just got one that sucks, going to donate it to a charity and get something else.
