The heating elements on either side of the center divider never got more than pale pink. Toast was burnt on one side and lightly toasted on the other; frozen bagels came out charred and still frozen inside. If that's OK with you, make sure that you have room for this space hogging thing.

I like it. This toaster handles wider pieces of bread. Easy to store and clean. I wish it had the option to toasted 2 slices at a time instead of 4 all the time. Couldn't identify another toaster quickly enough so I went with this one and we're happy. Not sure how an LED light is "digital", but hey - it looks ok and we weren't planning to connect it to the LAN or anything.

We bought this toaster about 6 months ago and it is serving us very well. The controls are easy to read and adjust. We have people who like their toast closer to warm bread and people who like it close to burnt and this toaster works for every one. I especially like the feature that allow bread or buns to be set up above the elements and heated through or mildly toasted.

If four slices of toast is all that you need this toaster is fine. If multiple batches are required problems arise. We can only toast two batches before the toaster starts to burn things. On the lightest setting a third batch will turn out O.K. after that the toaster needs time to cool completely. One of the reasons we bought this style of four slice toaster was the capacity for oversized slices (I love bread from the bakery) of which only two slices can be toasted at a time... we are a family of six... this toaster just barely meets our needs. It is an attractive design and may be perfect for a smaller household.

Great toaster. Does what it should do - toast! And fast. Super basic and it looks nice. Good weight. Doesn't take up a ton of space on the counter.
