This makes the juciest turkeys, roasts, and pretty much anything else you would cook in a slow cooker, stew or Dutch oven and it takes half the time!! It's great for serving food after with it's warming trays. Excellent for entertaining. Perfect for traveling. I adore mine. It free's up my oven for other dishes. I highly recomend this item.

I've always wanted one of these and finally bought this one for my planned adventure of making homemade tamales..Steamed them perfectly! Turkey's next. Then on to bringing it to work to try the buffet pans. So versatile and doesn't heat up the kitchen - worth it's weight in GOLD here in Texas! Love it. Sharon
 Turkey roaster works well, but takes longer than directions stated January 31, 2010

I've used this roaster only once, for a 14# turkey, and it took nearly an hour longer to cook than the directions stated. Not a problem though, now I know for next time. The roaster was definitely a nice thing to have on hand for keeping the oven open for cooking other items. Overall, I'm glad I bought it and will definitely use it again for turkeys, brunch, and other large meals.

This oven is a good value. We needed to cook a ham and a turkey for Christmas dinner and have just one oven. The turkey was 19 lbs and the lid wouldn't quite seat on the cooker even though the turkey was within the weight parameters for this roaster. I had to weight the lid down to keep it shut. It took the same amount of time to cook as the oven and the turkey came out browned and beautiful. I do wish it was okay to use a brown in bag but it isn't recommended. I do recommend this roaster oven over the Oster I used to have. Also, the bonus buffet pans were great for serving with our large crowd!
